Last week of Challenge!

Finally! This is the final week of my gym's 8 week weight loss challenge My goal was to lose 5kg I'm close to that goal, if I haven't passed it already But just to be sure, I'm going to stick to optislim shakes and vegetables for this week I'm hoping I'll lose another 1-2kg this week with the help of the shakes I'm so close to being under 90 kg again!

Slow weight loss

I am working my butt off at the gym but my weight isn't "falling of me"! I know that I shouldn't fuss over the scale, but it's a little disheartening I just want to be back in the 80's! Once I'm there, I won't be so hung up on the number The last day of the 8 week challenge is July 8 I weighed in on the gym scales and it says i've lost just over 4 kg I know that I had drank a bottle of water before that, so I'm close to a 5kg loss But I was really hoping and working for more! My cousin is trying to get me to sign up for this program she has been on She has lost an incredible amount of weight on the Neways "Easy fat release" program but it involves a lot of pills, supplements and it costs a fortune I'm interested, because it's all about detoxifying the body but it's a lot of money I told her I would let her know in August when my parents get back

Personal Training!

I did my first box jump! I thought I was going to break my neck!! I am feeling so much stronger than I did at day one My trainer even said that I could be a personal trainer in the future! I wouldn't mind it, but I've already decided that I'm going to be a zumba instructor when I get to goal weight =D Did I ever mention that I'm really enjoying gym? haha

Hangover + Body combat =

HELL!!! I haven't had a drink since the end of April, before signing up to the gym But this weekend is my sister's big 21st weekend so I made an exception! Last night I had a few too many vodka waters and sambuca shots and man oh man did I feel it this morning! I felt like absolute shit, but my sister and I were determined to go to Body combat so we sucked it up and went! Our gym launched all the new les mills programs today so we really wanted to go to the new body combat so we aren't behind next week Holy hell was it intense!! I was panting and puffing, the instructor was hard core and didn't let us slack off! I felt so much better after it though, more energy and ready to take on the big 21st party tonight! Tonight's menu is pizza and finger food and cupcakes :S I think I'll stick to some light dumplings and maybe one cupcake :)

Week 4 weigh in

Well I skipped last week’s weigh in because it was that time of the month Today is my 4th weigh in for the 8 week weight loss challenge I’m in Goal was to lose 5kg (11lbs) in 8 weeks SW- 97kg (213.4) 2 weeks ago (28/5/12): 95.6kg (210.32) Today (11/6/12): 93.7kg (206.14) Loss- 1.9kg (4.18lbs) I am so happy with that! nearly 2kg in 2 weeks is exceptional for me! My goal was at least 0.5kg each week Since starting the challenge on 14th May, I have lost 4.5kg (9.9kbs)! In 4 weeks! I have 4 weeks to go, and technically, I only need to lose another 0.5kg :) *starts happy dance…zumba style!”

I worked out for 3 hours today!

Who knew I had it in me! Workout one: 10 mins elliptical 10 mins bike 10 mins rowing 2 sets of: (3kg/6.6lbs dumbbells) 15 chest flys 15 lateral raise 15 front raise 20 bicep curls 10 tricep kickbacks (left arm) 10 tricep kickbacks (right arm) That was around lunchtime. Now I just got back from a Body Combat class (OUCH!) and Zumba! I struggled in body combat. My port site was hurting when we did Ab work...I'm guessing I'm still a bit tender from yesterday's fill?

I got a tiny fill...

and lord I hope I didn't push the limits I've lost 3kg since seeing the doctor last and she was really happy about that (it's been a month) I just feel like I'm snacking too much and my portions are still slightly too much than I should be eating She put in 0.2cc Fingers crossed that this is my sweet spot!

Zumba in the morning! Gosh I love it so much! And in the evening I did Day 2 of the 30 Day shred I really did not want to do the shred, but I've eaten so much crap this weekend and its that time of the month I've really been struggling lately to decide whether I need a small fill or not I've got an appointment for Wednesday, and although I've lost weight this month, I still find myself snacking and my portions are not the "half cup" that we are told to eat with the band The only thing that I'm concerned about is being too tight I know that I am close to my sweet spot, I just don't know how close! I haven't had any "stuck" moments since my last fill so that's good I guess I'll ask my doc and see how I go. I might just add 0.1cc...would that even make a difference? Anyways, I shall leave you with a picture of my sweaty face after the shred!

30 Day Shred

Today marks the beginning of hell…AKA Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred! Just completed L1D1 and all I can say is OUCH! Jillian sure did kick my butt and she didn’t even ease me into it…drop and start push ups within the first 5 minutes! I had to do the modified EVERYTHING! I couldn’t even do jump ropes for the entire time, I had to keep alternating legs And those bicycles are killer! I did them at personal training and the trainer kept pushing me to go faster. But Jillian likes them slow and steady and I could not keep my legs in the air for that long! I’m proud of myself for completing the whole thing…I was so tempted to quit at the half way mark. I’m actually starting to see some muscle tone in my bicep, but my arm is still disgustingly flabby!
