How do you know you are full?

That is the question!!!!

I don't feel hungry
Well I don't think I do
I think I'm focusing too much on gas pain to notice any hunger pains
So when I drink I drink a cup (if that!) and then forget about it for a few hours until mum reminds me that I need to keep hydrated

Help!!
I should really count calories and write down everything I drink
But i'm pretty sure I'm not taking in enough =S

With you on that stuff about the head hunger Ash.

Alyce, not sure if you have tried the peppermint tea, it really helped me with the gas pain in the tummy. Works really fast too.

I haven't been counting my calories or writing anything down. Just following my docs instructions, but I also don't think I've lost a single gram this week. :(

I'll give you the same advice someone gave me when I was newly banded...Don't worry too much about how much you're eating. If you're not hungry don't eat. Up until about two weeks post op I was eating less than 500 cals a day. Your appetite will eventually come back as the swelling disipates. Just make sure that what you are eating (or can eat) has some good nutritional substance....and take your vitamins! You're doing so well!!

Alyce, I was going to post something very similar. Thanks Ronke for that advice above. I don't know when I'm hungry or full. So I just eat what they have told me to and do it at the prescribed times. I don't know anything else to do. And take my vitamins.

Hey Alyce! I'm two weeks post-op today and I still don't always know when I'm hungry or full -- unless I let myself get too hungry or too full. Then I can tell!

Good luck to you and don't worry too much. I think what's going on it completely normal for this stage in the game!
